Russian Magi, the 1st Wise Man / Kit #4

The Russian Magi is the first of the Magi in the Kelly Clark Nativity Set Home Study.

He and his companions have come from afar bearing gifts. The nativity series has grown to four figures now, and the first of the Magi comes from Russia. His resplendent gown is trimmed with soft fur. Silk & metallic thread weave through the gown in a fun Composite Stitch. The clasp of the cloak and the trim on his crown are worked with Gilt Pearl Purl and beads. Gone are the cottons and linens used for the Holy Family, and now we move into the rich textiles of the very wealthy.
