The Donkey is humble, but loyal and noble beast. He is sort of an unsung hero of this story. The hardships endured by the family were also visited on the pack animal that assisted their journey.

It is sometimes hard to change from a project with pomp and circumstance, like the Elephant, to the drab and limited design of the donkey. But after a day or two without my sunglasses to ward off the "pow" of the pachyderm, I was ready to begin the little burro. I have enjoyed every minute that I shared with him.
