“In the introduction of this book Brenda Hart thanks her students for “having enough faith in me to use the stitches I suggest on their canvases.” It is us who are thankful that Brenda compiled 102 stitches and stitch combinations for us in this book, Favorite Stitches. Each stitch is charted and includes a suggestion on where to use it and often tips on how to successfully execute the stitch. There is a chapter on directional stitches. “Look at it this way, then that way!” We know we can turn our canvas to accomplish this, but it sure is helpful to see it charted various ways on the same page. There are tiny stitches and big stitches, darning stitches and layered stitches. There are chapters on Stitches With Texture, Borders and Strips, and Circles and Ovals just to name a few. You should add this must have book to your library.”
