Amy’s Golden Strand offers Melissa Shirley’s Christmas Banner for the third 2011 Home Study by Amy Bunger.

This Home Study will be kicked off in November 2011 with the fabulous Christmas Banner. The kits of threads and instructions for the canvas will be a 6 month journey through a wide variety of threads, techniques, stitches, and a few “found objects” to attach to your canvas. The Christmas  Banner is on 18 mesh. The design area is 36½" W x 6" H.

Each month you will be sent a kit of threads and set of instructions with the canvas featured for that month. The Christmas Banner instructions are broken into 6 separate kits with the banner canvas included in the first kit. As in all Home Study projects, there will be Tips and Hints on where to start the stitches, how to handle the threads, pitfalls to watch out for, and guidelines to follow.  All counted stitches are fully diagrammed and a complete thread list is included. There are written instructions to accompany the stitch diagrams.
